This dropped about a week ago, my trusted partner in crime sent me a youtube link for the track American Wedding, a laid back story of doomed lovers eloping a la Britney Spears set to the classic Hotel California by The Eagles, I was hooked instantly!
If Drake and Kanye’s approach to lyrical honesty and vulnerability changed the game in HipHop making it OK to show emotional disfunction, then Frank Ocean basically outed them as phoneys, slapped them both with the instruction manual and schooled them in how to show Real emotion.
